Community Involvement
Committed to Bike Advocacy & Supporting Our Minneapolis Community
At Brazil Sweeney Law Group, advocacy is at the heart of what we do. Whether we’re fighting for your rights after a bike crash or supporting those throughout the Minneapolis community, helping others is what drives our firm forward.
Our Involvement in the Minneapolis & Global Community
Bike Law Minnesota
Through the Bike Law Network, those who need an advocate after a bike crash can find attorneys willing to help. We are the Minnesota arm of the Bike Law Network.
Bike Law also serves clients through its non-profit advocacy effort, the Bike Law Foundation. This foundation serves cyclists nationwide on a pro bono basis, making it simple for cyclists to obtain legal assistance when they need it.
Bricks to Bread International
Our Minneapolis law firm is donating resources directly to Bricks to Bread toward the build of a brand new oven. We will also be supporting Bricks to Bread at a local level, including potential mentorship and volunteering at fundraising events.
Costa Rica holds a special place in attorney Dan Brazil’s heart. After completing law school, Dan spent 6 months in Costa Rica studying Spanish and working for the Costa Rica Trade and Development Board. He, and our whole team, is excited to build this relationship and support this great organization.
The Loppet Foundation
As part of our partnership with The Loppet Foundation, we’re involved with the foundation’s various events, including Wirth on Wednesdays. We also donate bikes when we can and provide additional support when needed.
Our Streets Minneapolis
Our law firm has been a long-time supporter of Our Streets Minneapolis. We are involved in a variety of ways, from supporting annual biking events and contributing articles for the organization’s blog to sharing insights at special events about bike law, advocacy and more.
The Midtown Greenway Coalition
As a member of The Midtown Greenway Coalition, we work on various projects throughout the year. Our Minneapolis law firm has adopted the Greenway section between the Uptown bus station and Lake of the Isles.
Each year, our entire firm participates in clean-up days where we pick up trash around our adopted corridor. We also have plenty of merch such as blinky lights and water bottles we love to share with fellow cyclists.
Knowledge-Sharing Through Speaking Engagements
Attorney Daniel J. Brazil delivers regular talks throughout Minneapolis at local bike shops and organizations. It’s his goal to share his knowledge about cycling and the law to improve the safety and wellbeing of those in our community.
