Getting Started With Your Injury Case: Agreements, Forms & Related Information
Welcome to Brazil Law Group! We are honored that you’ve chosen to work with our team to handle your case. We will do everything we can to help you quickly move through these initial stages so we can get started on seeking the compensation you deserve.
Step 1: Retainer Agreement
You must sign a retainer agreement before our office can represent you and our team can speak on your behalf to third parties such as insurance companies. Once you sign this retainer, we encourage you to speak to only our team about your case. We’ll handle everything else.
There is no need to meet in person or print out a hard copy of our retainer agreement. Simply click the link below to be taken to DocuSign, our chosen software for handling all agreements. Once in, you can digitally sign the agreement and submit it back to our office for finalization. Your file will always be available to you and is part of our cloud-based electronic storage system.

Step 2: Authorizations & Releases
We will need to gain access to relevant documentation such as medical records to support your claim and help you through the process. This requires you to submit several authorization and release forms to our office. Our attorneys will explain which forms we’ll need from you and why.

Mileage Log
Track your mileage to and from doctors’ offices, pharmacies, hospitals and other medical-related locations. The miles, and corresponding dollars, add up quickly. You can request reimbursement, but your log should be thorough. We encourage you to use the provided paper log here. You may also download a free mileage tracker app such as MileIQ.
